M.S., Ph.D., Computer Science, Northwestern University, In Progress
B.S. (Hon.) Computer Science, Brandeis University, 2025

Pre-graduate experience

I have been interested in computer science since middle school. At age 11, I founded a small corporation and developed my first iOS application. In high school, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I co-founded and led a team of college-aged students to build the School Wellness Screener, a daily health attestation platform used by roughly 30,000 users across 50 schools. The system verified student health status upon entry and was deployed across iOS, Android, and web platforms, receiving both national and local attention.

While at Brandeis (2021-2025), my interests shifted toward algorithm design and theoretical computer science, motivated in part by an interest in quantitative finance. During my freshman year, I founded both the Brandeis Quant Club and North Pond Capital Management L.L.C., a hedge fund management company overseeing a single fund entity, North Pond Holdings, L.P. I worked with legal counsel and a fund administrator to establish the firm and maintain required SEC, federal, and state compliance. The fund's strategy was inspired by studying how arbitrage opportunities in early cryptocurrency markets were deployed. I developed several autonomous systems designed to identify and exploit statistical arbitrage patterns in volatility-derived securities. The fund was ultimately closed due to operational costs, though I continue to maintain and develop the underlying software.

Additionally as an undergraduate, I held a number of teaching assistant and research positions, totaling nine roles. In these positions, I collaborated with faculty to develop and improve course curricula and led large lab review sessions for several courses. I also participated in computer science research, presenting a talk at a Boston College Mathematical Association of America event. Additionally, I authored a senior honors thesis that aimed to lay the foundational groundwork for a highly optimized data structure within a subfield of topology.

On-going Research

At Northwestern, I plan to pursue research that integrates my experience in machine learning, optimization, data science, and human-computer interaction to tackle complex issues within counterterrorism.
